International Conference on Business and Human Rights

Indago presents a paper entitled “Corporate liability and human rights: what responses do civil and criminal liability offer in the EU?” at the “International Conference on Business and Human Rights, International law challenges, European responses”, held at the University of Milan.

On May 29-30, the University of Milan hosted the International Conference on Business and Human Rights, as part of a Project which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. More than 20 experts from all over the world participated by addressing the main problems and challenges that the development of this area faces within the European territory.

Among other issues, the notion of “due diligence” within supply chains, the developments in the domestic implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the obstacles impeding effective access to remedy to the victims of corporate abuse were examined.
